Before You Start: Requirements In order to donate your locks to be made into Wigs for Kids, your hair must be: 36cm in length or longer. Free from permanent or semi-permanent hair dye. Secured firmly at the top and bottom of the pony tail or braid.
How long does your hair need to be to donate?
Make sure hair is a minimum of 12 inches for proper hair donation length. We encourage you wait and grow a longer ponytail (14+ inches) to have the most impact on a child in need. Pull curly hair straight for a more accurate measurement. Start the measuring tape at the start of the ponytail.
